I find this take problamatic for a few reasons. I'm a Gen Z who has gained a small but engaged Twitter following. And the loss of privacy and putting myself on dispaly isn't something I see as negative. Granted I'm not running in front of trains, but if young people feel like they don't have adaquate support networks that they're driven online to find them, maybe society should take a long look at themselves and ask how they can better support young people. And finding a job isn't the answer. I have one. It doesn't pay enough to sell my soul and my free time. And I still have time to maintain my blog.
