I find it frustrating when people DM me without introducing themselves! Would you meet someone in person for the first time without saying, "Hello, my name is... I noticed you because.... and I wanted to introduce myself"? Why is it ok on the internet?

Bare minimum is to tell you why they are messaging you. Are you a professional contact? Personal? I need to know!
